News and events for SARG
My name is David and my Callsign is VK5LSB with some news and notes on behalf of the South Australian Repeater Group.
Some exciting news, this coming Wednesday the 17th June at 20.00hrs local time the first South Australian Repeater Group radio net will be held utilising the Adelaide Linked Repeater Network. The net will be conducted on a weekly basis and will be hosted by a group of operators within the group which will bring new ideas, variety etc to the airwaves.
We are utilising the Adelaide Linked Repeater Network as our membership base is so broad and spread out across Adelaide and it regions, so what better way than give everyone the chance to join in on the radio net utilising the Linked Repeater Network.
We would love to hear you all up on the net this coming Wednesday 17th June at 20.00hrs and you don’t need to be a member of the group to participate as everyone with an amateur radio licence is welcome to come up and participate on the net.
VK5OG Nathan and other members of the group have been busy with updating Mech Core Repeaters across Adelaide and working with other like-minded ham radio clubs of AHARS and AREG by installing Meshcore repeaters up at the AHARS VK5RAD site and AREG site at Koch Hill.
The Executive Members of the group are continuing on developing and creating an exciting and informative web page for the group which now is online and can be found at the web address SARG.AU, the web page is not fully complete at this point and as such changes will continue to me made in its development and information, have a look at the page, and I say again that the address is SARG.AU.
The South Australian Repeater Group now has a member’s email server and portal up and running and a big thank you goes out to Simon VK5LNX and Andrew VK5WX for all the time and creation skills that they have dedicated to the email server project, well done Simon and Andrew
You can also follow the South Australian Repeater Group on our Facebook page which contains lots of exciting news, announcements, activities, and information on becoming a member along with the online membership registration form for you to become a member if you wish too.
On that note folks keep your eyes and ears open and we looking forward to you becoming members of the South Australian Repeater Group.
Stay tuned for further announcements.
We also wish to thank our corporate sponsors for supporting us along with Phil VK5PK, Dean VK5HMV and Shane VK5NRV and the greater Amateur Radio Community for there assistance in supporting the South Australian Repeater Group.
